Meet the FutureScape 2023 Team

13/09/2023

We are excited to be heading back to FutureScape this year, not only to exhibit but also as the sponsor of the Lighting Theatre. The team is ready and looking forward to seeing familiar faces, meeting new ones and building relationships. You’ll find us on stand E30 and trust us when we say you’ll want to come and check it out. Sam and Paul will be taking to the stage in the ‘Soft Landscaping Demo’ area on Tuesday morning (11am) answering the ever important question: How can irrigation save water? On Tuesday afternoon (3pm), they will turn the focus to the fundamentals of garden lighting with his presentation ‘Illuminating Gardens: A practical introduction’ in the Lighting Theatre. We will also be proudly crowning the winner of the Pro Landscaper's 'Unsung Hero Award' on Wednesday lunchtime.

So without further ado, here’s the FutureScape 2023 team.

After staying behind last year to man the fort, I am thrilled to be attending Futurescape in 2023. Most of my work is done behind the scenes, so for me it is a great opportunity to meet some of our customers and suppliers face-to-face and to promote Landscapeplus to those that have not yet used us. There’s also a real buzz around the office at the moment thanks to some exciting projects coming to fruition just before the show… all will be revealed soon but for now, watch this space!

I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to put some names to faces, there are so many customers that we almost speak to on a daily basis that you build a picture in your mind as to how they would be and it’s always interesting when you finally meet and have a great chat! My highlight from last year was the buzz around our lighting stand bouncing from one conversation to the next. This will be my second year at Futurescapes so at least I know what to expect this time!

I attended Futurescape for the first time last year after joining the business in February and only being involved with the customer development side since July. It was great to meet some of the people I had spoken to on the phones as well as listen to several conversations between attendees and the rest of the team. It gave me the chance to learn more about the products and understand the aim of the business which is to be so much more than just your wholesaler. I am looking forward to attending again this year having more experience within the industry and hopefully getting to meet several new and existing customers. I’m also super excited for us as a company to be bringing new brands along with us to introduce to the UK markets.

As a newbie at Landscapeplus, this will be my first time at FutureScape but I’m ready to soak it all in, get involved and learn. It’s a very exciting time at Landscapeplus (I can’t say too much yet) with several things in the pipeline and FutureScape one of the first platforms for us to share it with everyone. I am stoked to be on the team and look forward to meeting new and existing customers throughout the show.

Sam Cox

I’ve been attending FutureScape since the very first show at Kempton Park back in 2012. Since then, it’s been amazing to see the industry go from strength to strength and FutureScape continues impress me. This year has without doubt been the most exciting in my 12 years at Landscapeplus, some huge international brands joining our range and projects that we’re sworn to secrecy on. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled, it’s a show not to be missed.

Personally, I’m looking forward to presenting a Lighting & (Waterless) Irrigation talk along with Sam, having been involved with quite a few talks over the years including 3 on Lighting, Irrigation & Water Features at the FutureScape's inaugural show at Kempton Park in 2012. It will also be good to see many new & existing customers and discuss how Landscapeplus’s Design Support can benefit both Designers & Landscapers.
