Max & Paddy are at it again!

18/01/2018

Our very own Max & Paddy are at it again and 2018 looks to be a busy one. We're already booked in for events across the country and we're kicking off this week with a visit to a London SGD group followed by a morning at the brilliant Inchbald School of Design.

We started working with Inchbald in 2017 and had great feedback from the course Tutors & Students alike.

Andrew Duff - Managing Director Inbchbald School of Design
"Our students found the talk by Landscapeplus very informative and the speakers approachable and knowledgeable".

We've always enjoyed talking to cluster groups at BALI, SGD and the APL, doing Q&A sessions at colleges and industry debates at Futurescape because there's always an interested audience and lively conversation.

However, we've become very aware of the skills shortage in our industry; it's been the talking point of many industry debates and will continue to be so unless we all do something about it. So having seen the great efforts made by organisations such as BALI's Go Landscape we asked ourselves at Landscapeplus how we can 'do our bit'. After a few discussions we made the decision to roll-out our training events program to Colleges and Universities across the UK and link up with plant nurseries across the country to host "Meet the Supplier" events where garden designers and landscape contractors can come and get "hands on" with the product and learn about designing systems into gardens.

The aim for our group events is to give students & industry professionals the confidence to incorporate garden lighting, irrigation and/or water features into their projects. We focus our training around the principles of a system and offer ongoing support when required, after all we can't all know everything and as you know, the technology changes fast.

First on the list is an evening of ponds & water features in South London, Chris our in-house pond expert will be talking the group through the benefits a pond or feature can add to a garden, the design considerations, the principles of pump & filter selection and finishing with an opportunity to pick his brains about anything.... (pond related!)

If you'd like to have one of our team visit your local group or speak to you individually on the phone or Skype then give us a call!
