ADEZZ TAP Planters - Tapered - Corten

The ADEZZ TAP planters are designed with a beautiful square tapered shape and are available in a range of materials, finishes and sizes. These corten planters are very robust, hard-wearing, weatherproof, low-maintenance and durable.
These tapered TAP planters are available in a range of sizes and heights to suit each project. These planters are constructed with hidden feet and drainage holes to provide optimal drainage and float a little above the ground to create a shadow gap of 15mm. They feature bottom panels on the planters to keep the soil contained, making them ideal for installation on surfaces like patios, decking and gravel. Planting advice:
Constructed from corten steel, these TAP planters are supplied unweathered, developing their iconic rust aesthetic over the course of 4-5 months depending on weather conditions as wet/dry cycles develop the naturally hard-wearing rusty patina. This process can be sped up using the ADEZZ Bio Rust Accelerator treatment. Weathering can be inhibited at any point using Owatrol penetrating rust inhibitor, pausing the weathering process and protecting the exterior finish.
Please note: The weathering process can cause run-off and staining. Products should be unpacked immediately upon receipt to release any moisture trapped inside the packaging. Trapped moisture may develop uneven rust patches. We do not recommend installation of corten steel within 1.5 miles of a coastline.
Also available in powder coated aluminium and garapa hardwood.

Planting advice:
- Cover the bottom of the planter with a layer of gravel (approx. 10 cm deep, Ø 35 mm grading).
- Place a permeable anti-root membrane over the gravel.
- Cover the membrane with soil suitable for your chosen plants.
- Do not use an overflow pipe or hydro pellets with this corten version as no excess water should remain in the corten steel planter. This can cause the metal to corrode prematurely due to the interaction of oxygen and soil.
