Owatrol® Rust Inhibitor Oil for Corten Steel

Owatrol® Rust Inhibitor Oil for Corten Steel is a powerful treatment designed to protect and seal existing rust on corten planters, water features, and more. Formulated to penetrate deeply into sound metal, Owatrol® Oil works by displacing air and moisture, effectively sealing and protecting the surface from within. Ideal for use on corten steel, it preserves the natural patina while preventing further oxidation beneath the surface. The oil dries to a transparent matt finish, maintaining the raw aesthetic of the metal without altering its appearance.

It also helps prevent rust runoff, protecting surrounding materials such as stone, concrete, or decking from staining that can be caused through the weathering process of corten steel.

Available in 0.5 litre and 5 litre containers, it offers excellent coverage of up to 18m² per litre. Drying times vary depending on conditions, with surfaces typically touch-dry in 12 hours, fully dry in 24 hours, and ready for re-coating within 24 to 48 hours.
