Ryan Simmonds
Design Support
I started with Landscapeplus in early 2016 and that began as a part of the sales team, but a couple of years ago it organically transitioned into my now Design Support role. I work closely with designers on a daily basis, working on their plans helping them to understand products and systems, which in turn should result in the correct products going into their gardens (that’s lighting, irrigation & water features!). Outside of the office, you will find me exploring the Cotswolds with my wife and twin boys (hard work!), twins that is, not the wife! I’m also a sports enthusiast, whether that’s following Aston Villa, or watching NFL & Golf on the tele.

Having enjoyed a long career in finance I had the opportunity in 2019 to join Landscapeplus. Very quickly I realised what a friendly, respectful, supportive team they are and always ready to help. My role consisted of helping with some of the accounting tasks which included bank reconciliation and within a short space of time I was given the opportunity to support the purchase ledger side of the business. I really enjoy the accounting cycle and achieving deadlines and very much like communicating and building relationships with our suppliers. In my home life I love DIY I’m a bit of a have a go Henry but when I fail, I call in the experts! I really enjoy watching tennis I’m a huge Andy Murray fan I find his dedication to the sport impressive and I guess me being half Scottish who else would I support!

Paul Willavoys
Director of Customer Relationships
Having been with the company since 2006 and developing through the sales team, I now oversee Customer Relationships at Landscapeplus. I have a desire to educate people through talks nationwide, mainly to groups wanting to know more about the fearful world of designing and specifying lighting, irrigation & ponds, with an aim to ensuring the clients get what they deserve from their gardens. I am a regular tutor at design schools around the country such as Inchbald School of Garden Design, Cotswold Gardening School & Numerous other colleges, and also teach the Landscape apprentices who attend the World skills events each year. Outside of work I love shopping for antiques, spending time with my family and my grandson, Archie.

Polly Lousada
Customer Development
I have been part of the Landscapeplus team since April 2023 working in Customer Development. There is always something to learn which is great and definitely keeps me on my toes! Having previously worked in hospitality and estate agency, my role at Landscapeplus allows me to develop and build on my customer service skills as well as being part of such a welcoming, enthusiastic and enjoyable company. My time outside of work is mainly spent with friends and family, baking some yummy goodies (which the team are yet to try!) or with Pearl who is my Miniature Dachshund. Travelling is also a shared hobby of mine and my partners, with a trip to Bali and Japan on the horizon.

David Atherton

My main role in the company, which I have been at for over 10 years, is to help customers with orders, quotes and trying to solve issues they may have on site. I also look after the service side of the business so when it comes to issues with products then it’s down to me to help, which I enjoy. My customer service approach to everyone I speak to is that I treat and support customers the way I’d like to be dealt with. In my spare time I love spending time with my family, going on walks and family day trips, watching my beloved Wolverhampton Wanderers and watching films of all kinds. I’m often referred to as the ‘King of the North’ by my colleagues, and love learning interesting facts to share with them.

Fred Sales
Website & Product Development Manager
Despite having grown up around the company, I officially joined the Landscapeplus team full time in 2017, beginning with a role in the warehouse picking and packing. This quickly developed into a role in the accounts team, before finally landing on my current role. My main focus in the business is looking after the website, photography, product marketing and listing of new products. When I'm not at work I'm usually found playing guitar, out on long hikes, in the kitchen cooking vegan food or travelling down to Brentford to watch the mighty bees. I'm passionate about the natural world, wildlife, and environmentalism, so I find our industry to be an absolute joy to work in.

As Operations Director at Landscapeplus my role is to keep the wheels moving, making sure the business is providing the best possible service to our customers. Since joining Landscapeplus back in 2010 I have worked in all roles within company before becoming a director in 2021. Outside of the business my interests include all sports, especially football and NFL. I have a dog called Pep and a cat called Sergio so you can guess which football team I support! It’s been a great company to work for over the years which has offered me support, opportunities, growth and a fantastic industry to service, filled with amazing characters and talent.

My main role at Landscapeplus is to guard and guide the culture of the business making sure we all stay on track; there’s never a dull moment and it’s been amazing to see the company go from strength to strength. When I’m not working you’ll find me exploring the world with my wife Vicky and daughter Myla. I’m also a big foodie with a serious coffee addiction and love to keep fit… although must admit I’m a fair weather biker!

I joined Landscapeplus in February 2022 as an accounts administrator and have since developed within the company to become part of the customer service team. I absolutely love being involved with such a supportive and knowledgeable company who not only have great values but offer fabulous entertainment daily. I am known in the office for my rather outrageous laugh so you may hear me in the background of your calls! When I’m not in the office, I will be enjoying the great outdoors come rain or shine whilst show jumping with my horse Winnie.

I joined the Landscapeplus team in July 2023 with a focus on Marketing, as well as assisting with maintaining and updating the website. The team made me feel welcome very quickly and thankfully everyone is very patient with my constant question asking (the knowledge they all have is mind-blowing). When I’m not at work, you’ll most likely find me outside – well more so when the sun is shining either running, swimming, walking (usually with planned pub stops) or in the garden chucking a tennis ball for our dog, Fig! My partner and I both love travelling, particularly to the Alpes in the winter where we spend our time doing everything we love: being outdoors, being active and enjoying a nice cold beer or Aperol Spritz!

Business Development
My Journey at Landscapeplus started in 2021. At the beginning I had no prior knowledge of the industry, but I did have a drive to learn as much as I could to make sure every customer I spoke to got the right answer. These days my focus is more on the future
of the business which includes liaising with customers about training days and supporting new companies coming on board. The most important part of my role is keeping track of what we
do outside of sending out orders and how we can continue to
help our customers. This led to me being bestowed with the title of "Chief Spreadsheet Officer" or for short "CSO" which might I add, I take very seriously. If you'd ever like to chat about formula, I'm your man.

I’m really looking forward to the challenge of keeping up with such a fast paced industry. Outside of work, I’m massively into sports and the gym, including: cricket, golf, rugby and formula 1. I also have a big love for coffee and food.

Aquatic Business Development
I have been with Landscapeplus for a good chunk of my life now, with my role evolving from being part of the growing Sales team, to now being part of the Business Development team, concentrating specifically on the Aquatic customers. I have 3 main passions in life: Golf, Ilfracombe and Doombar. My wife and daughter are a close 4th! If I'm not in the office I will either be on site visiting customers, on a beach or on a golf course.

Having previously worked in a wide range of jobs throughout my life, I joined Landscapeplus' warehouse team in 2019 and haven't looked back since (except for when I'm reversing in the forklift!). My day to day role is to oversee the warehouse team, picking, packing and dispatching orders and, of course, driving the forklift.

I joined Landscapeplus in May of 2021 as a member of the warehouse team. I mainly pick and pack orders, but also help out with odd jobs such as building sprinklers, shredding cardboard boxes to be re-used as packaging, and generally keeping the warehouse clean and tidy! My main passions in life are films, TV and gaming, so I spend much of my spare time at the cinema, watching youtube or live streams. I also love to watch Disney films with my niece.

I’m also an avid musician and fan of heavy music, with a particular love of the band Alestorm. I am very excited to be becoming a Dad sometime in May 2023 and looking forward to sharing my love of Lego with my Daughter when she arrives. I was once asked what I want when I grow up, my honest answer – I want to figure out KFC's special blend of 11 herbs and spices.

I am a keen Sci-Fi fan in any medium and I try to get to local live music most weekends with my friends. I'm also a big football fan, and as a Tottenham supporter I am used to disappointment.

I joined Landscapeplus in May 2023 with my main responsibility being picking and packing orders in the warehouse. Outside of work I have many interests such as playing Dungeons & Dragons, reading, collecting comic books and playing video games on my custom gaming PC.
