ADEZZ YORK Planters - Square - Corten
Based in the Netherlands, ADEZZ are world renowned for their high quality and beautifully crafted planters, water features and other garden features. Designed and manufactured in Europe by their expert fabricators, their products utilise high quality raw materials and coatings to ensure the products are built to last.
The ADEZZ YORK planter is specially designed to make placing heavy nursery pots very easy. Thanks to a fully removable sidewall and a smooth floor, the pot can be slid into place without much effort. They are available in a range of materials, finishes and sizes. These corten planters are very robust, hard-wearing, weatherproof, low-maintenance and durable.
These YORK planters are available in two sizes, both of which are square in shape. Each planter is constructed with large 90mm tall feet and drainage holes to provide optimal drainage. They feature bottom panels on the planters to keep the soil contained, making them ideal for installation on surfaces like patios, decking and gravel. Alternatively, instead of filling the planter with soil, the removable side wall can be taken off to allow pots to be slid straight into the planter. This is a great option for seasonal arrangements, allowing planting to be done prior to installation. Planting advice (for direct planting):
Constructed from corten steel, these YORK planters are supplied unweathered, developing their iconic rust aesthetic over the course of 4-5 months depending on weather conditions as wet/dry cycles develop the naturally hard-wearing rusty patina. This process can be sped up using the ADEZZ Bio Rust Accelerator treatment. Weathering can be inhibited at any point using Owatrol penetrating rust inhibitor, pausing the weathering process and protecting the exterior finish.
Please note: The weathering process can cause run-off and staining. Products should be unpacked immediately upon receipt to release any moisture trapped inside the packaging. Trapped moisture may develop uneven rust patches. We do not recommend installation of corten steel within 1.5 miles of a coastline.
Also available in powder coated aluminium.

- Cover the bottom of the planter with a layer of gravel (approx. 10 cm deep, Ø 35 mm grading).
- Place a permeable anti-root membrane over the gravel.
- Cover the membrane with soil suitable for your chosen plants.
- Do not use an overflow pipe or hydro pellets with this corten version as no excess water should remain in the corten steel planter. This can cause the metal to corrode prematurely due to the interaction of oxygen and soil.
