Aquascape "Fountainscape" System:Water features add intrigue and movement to gardens, as well as the soothing sound of water. When done correctly they can be a real focal point of a garden design. The Aquascape "Fountainscape" system is designed to ensure consistent, reliable and long lasting water feature installations. The system consists of a AquaBasin water feature reservoir, which houses a pump that feeds water to a free standing feature placed on top of the reservoir. The water then cascades down the water feature before spilling back into the reservoir.
Aquascapes Spillway Bowls, Basins & Stands:
The 32" (820mm) Spillway Bowls feature a single spillway spout that can be used in a wide variety of applications. They can be used as a standalone feature with the water spilling straight back into the reservoir, or alternatively the spout can be directed into a second bowl, for example the larger Aquascape 40" (1020mm) water feature basin. They can even be used as a water feature at the edge of a pond with the spillway directing the water back to the pond, or at the top of a watercourse. Alternatively, the 40" Spillway Basin can be used as a standalone water feature, with water cascading over the whole circumference of the bowl.
When installing a 32" Spillway Bowl spilling into a 40" Spillway Basin, the Spillway Bowl Stands should be used. This raises the height of the 32" Spillway Bowl to enable it to direct water into the 40" Spillway Basin. In this type of installation, the 40" Spillway Basin should be located atop an
Aquascape AquaBasin 45 reservoir.
The Aquascape Spillway Bowls, Basins and Stands are constructed from glass fibre reinforced concrete and as a result can vary in colour by up to 15% from bowl to bowl, giving every single one a unique aesthetic. After casting, each bowl is hand finished to provide a slightly uneven texture and pattern, further solidifying their individuality.
Aquascape recommend using the
Ultra 2000 water feature pump to feed these spillway bowls. If two bowls are being used together, it is best to use the splitter provided with this pump to divert the flow between both bowls. This helps to prevent turbulence within the bowl. The pipework from the pump is easily connected up to the bowl using the provided multi-stage hose tail for ¾", 1" or 1¼" (19mm, 25mm or 32mm) pipework (hose clips & pipework not included).
Also provided with each Spillway Bowl is a PVC riser with a PVC tee on the end. These PVC risers are coloured to match the bowl, and can be solvent welded in place to help slow the velocity of the water entering the bowl.
Each bowl contains a second inlet that is blanked by default. The blank-nut can be removed to enable cable entry into the bowl for the purpose of installing lighting as required. The provided rubber cable seal can then be used to create a water-tight seal against the cable to prevent water escaping from the bowl.
