Aquascape

The History of Aquascape
Greg Wittstock, owner and CEO of Aquascape Inc., has dabbled in water features since the age of 12 when he built his first pond for his pet turtle, Samson, in Wheaton, Illinois. Greg continued to experiment with pond building throughout his life and founded Aquascape in 1991. The company has grown from its humble beginnings in a garage to a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of pond products for contractors, retailers, and consumers.

The Aquascape Ethos
Aquascape's mission is to connect people with water the way nature intended. It's the underlying philosophy that shapes and directs the products and pond construction techniques that Aquascape employs and teaches to others.

Aquascape's Products and Systems
Aquascape offers a full range of pond products and supplies for the professional pond contractor, including water feature kits, pumps, filtration, liner and underlayment, lighting, plumbing, water treatments, fountainscapes and more.

Aquascape's Sustainability and Environmental Policies
Aquascape adheres to sustainable practices and searches for ways to make improvements to the environment. The Aquascape headquarters was built in 2005 in St. Charles, Illinois, a suburb 40 miles west of Chicago, and received Silver-level LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). Aquascape also invented a rainwater harvesting system to capture and filter rainwater and stormwater runoff for reuse.

What Sets Aquascape Apart
Aquascape is the only pond product manufacturer that has a full-time construction and maintenance division to field test its products, construction techniques and contractor business model. Aquascape has installed thousands of water features around the world and invites their Certified Aquascape Contractors to join them on special projects to gain valuable hands-on training. Some of the most notable water features include those for basketball legend, Shaquille O'Neal, a massive pond and waterfall at Primavera Urbana in Villavicencio, Colombia, a rainwater harvesting solution for the Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and more.

Our Future
Aquascape launches new, innovative products every year, most of which are based on field research and feedback from its vast network of contractors, retailers, and distributors. In addition, Aquascape continues to advance and improve its training for water feature professionals with cutting-edge construction techniques and philosophies.
