Landscapeplus Events 2019 - September
23/09/2019
We've been travelling the country again last month carrying out talks, visiting Garden Designers and Landscape Contractors. Below we've highlighted a couple of our recent events and listed our upcoming events; if you'd like to attend or would like us to visit your local area please get in touch.
Landscape Show 2019
This years Landscape Show saw a plethora of garden designers, landscapers, architects and industry professionals grace its doors with some involved in trade stands, others involved in seminars and some just there to enjoy the show. We were fortunate enough to be invited to host a seminar on Sustainable Water Issues, Rainwater Harvesting, Irrigation and Climate Change Resilience. Our very own Paul Willavoys & Sam Cox were seated alongside long time industry experts Nick Ryan of Waterwell and Tony Woods of Garden Club London both of which have worked alongside Landscapeplus for many years.

We also presented our own trade stand in which we were able to meet with some familiar faces and some new ones too. We also spent some time on the Collingwood stand talking with customers about our long standing relationship with Collingwood Lighting and their growing range of light fittings. A brilliant few days as always.
Marshalls

A more recent collaboration for Landscapeplus; we hosted, a training day alongside Marshalls where Garden Designers and Landscape Contractors got hands on with a lighting system. They were then shown how to wire the low voltage Collingwood setup into a Light Symphony controller and control the lights via the iSymphony app!

Based at the Marshalls offices in Halifax, the day was organised for seven contractors and seven designers. A Marshalls factory tour followed by a masterclass on stone cutting and garden lighting provided interest and education for all in attendance.
Wild Flower Turf

Another brilliant event at Wild Flower Turf demonstrating irrigation systems and their uses within landscaping. We discussed the benefits of irrigation along with a practical training session covering everything from rainwater harvesting to drip pipe. Thankfully nobody got wet!
Wild Flower Turf also gave training in wildflower establishment and maintenance. Once completed the attendees were added to a national register of accredited installers used by residential and commercial clients wanting to find their local Wild Flower experts.
York Gate Gardens
We're pleased to have teamed up with Jeff Lockhart of Yorkshire Water Features and Ben Preston of York Gate Gardens offering a great opportunity to learn all things Garden Ponds and Water Features, along with a tour of the redeveloped York Gate Gardens. The training focused on the design, construction and maintenance of a water feature with some great discussion and expert input from Yorkshire Water Features.
How Green Nursery
We hosted a skills workshop on Garden Irrigation at How Green Nursery's event, providing an on site demonstration of a fully working irrigation system and discussed how a well planned system can not only maximise plant establishment but also save water!
The day involved a tour of their family-run nursery, enjoying some guest speakers and refreshments, as well as taking
advantage of some special offers on the day.

We've teamed up with Miles Nurseries offering a great day where we'll be joined by two award winning designers to talk show gardens. Neil Sutcliffe and Toby Pritchard from Creative Roots will cover the highs and lows from a designer and contractors point of view, along with representatives from The RHS and APL to cover any question on the application process and opportunities.
