Landscapeplus Events 2019 - July
08/08/2019
Yet again we've been busy travelling the country providing training to Garden Designers and Landscape Contractors, below we've highlighted a couple of our recent training events and listed our upcoming events, if you'd like to attend or would like us to visit your local area please get in touch.
New Wood Trees
A beautiful setting for another day on Garden Irrigation with Devon based Garden Designers and Landscapers working with New Wood Trees. Following the training session we had the please of a stunning nursery tour and talk on plant passports by their passionate owner Philip Nieuwoudt.
New Wood Trees are a specialist tree nursery situated in the beautiful South Devon countryside. The business specialises on the multi-stem tree, taking hardy native trees and cultivating them into beautifully shaped multi-stem specimens. They also focus on a number of unusual single stem varieties.
We were lucky to have enjoyed a really great day at New Wood Trees connecting with new landscapers and helping to educate them further on how to utilise irrigation in the best way possible, promoting the health and well-being of their trees and plants.
Hillier Trees HQ
What a day out we had at the prestigious Hillier Trees HQ, Ampfield House, for a practical demonstration on Garden Irrigation. Luckily for us the weather held out long enough for a tour and a demonstration (just!).
Hillier Trees was founded in 1864 by Edwin Hillier and remains a family run nursery with the fifth generation now actively involved in the business. Hillier has been involved in the RHS Chelsea Flower Show from the early days and is the most successful exhibitor in the show’s history with a record 72 consecutive RHS Chelsea Gold Medals.
It was really great being able to show Garden Designers and Landscapers everything from rainwater harvesting, pop up sprinklers, tap based timers and micro irrigation followed by a tour of Hillier's Tree Nursery and an insight into the world of bio security by Jim Hillier.
