IN-LITE® HUB PROTECTOR 1 Outdoor Casings

The in-lite® HUB transformers are all rated to IP23 as they are designed generally for covered installation in sheds or on sheltered exterior walls. Sometimes this is not possible due to site restrictions, and the transformer must be located in an area where it is partly exposed to the elements.

The in-lite® HUB PROTECTOR outdoor casings provide IP44 protection against the elements and make the HUB transformers suitable for outdoor use. The HUB PROTECTOR 1 is made of high-quality shadowed polycarbonate and has been developed to protect the HUB-50, HUB-75, HUB-100 standard transformers, as well as SMART HUB-75 and SMART HUB-150 Bluetooth transformers. The HUB and HUB PROTECTOR should always be installed at a minimum height of 0.5m from the ground to ensure there is no risk of flooding or splashing water.

Mounting the HUB PROTECTOR requires 3mm of clearance. This can easily be created by loosening the fixing screws two turns.

If you have a SMART HUB-300, you should instead use the SMART HUB PROTECTOR 2.
