IN-LITE® SMART HUB-75 Transformers
The in-lite® system operates on low voltage 12v power, allowing you to install it all in perfect safety, the only requirement being a plug socket! With a transformer, cable and fittings, you will have your garden installed within a few steps. Best of all, because the in-lite® SMART HUB transformers convert the power from the socket to a safe low voltage, you do not need to dig trenches for your cable!
The newest addition to the in-lite® system, the SMART HUB-75 is rated for a maximum total load of 75VA and, unlike the standard in-lite® HUBs, feature two individually controllable cable outlets. This allows up two separate lighting zones to be created throughout the garden. These lighting zones can then be controlled on a smartphone through the in-lite app®, utilising Bluetooth to do so. Cable can be run from each outlet to power the fittings, up to a maximum run length of 80m per line (if the larger 10/2 gauge cable is used). The SMART HUB-75 also enables dimming of SMART fittings and colour control of TONE fittings.
This lower output SMART HUB is ideal for small projects or for expanding existing projects, enabling full access to the in-lite® system without breaking the bank.
The SMART HUB and other SMART accessories create a Bluetooth "mesh" network that essentially connects all of the products together to ensure the best Bluetooth connectivity. This allows multiple SMART HUBs and SMART accessories to be connected to the same app within a single project. In homes with thick insulated walls or steel constructions, the SMART EXTENDER accessory can be mounted inside the home to further boost Bluetooth signal strength.
Bluetooth technology does have it's limitations, for example requiring the user to be within Bluetooth range of the HUB to control the lighting. This is why in-lite® developed the SMART BRIDGE accessory, which utilises an ethernet connection to sync the SMART HUB to the smartphone app to make it accessible via Wi-Fi from anywhere in the world. All you need is an internet connection! The SMART BRIDGE also enables Google Home, Apple Homekit and Amazon Alexa compatibility.
The in-lite® SMART MOVE wireless motion detectors can also be paired with the SMART HUB-75 to automatically turn the lighting on when movement is detected up to 10m from the sensor. They are powered by built-in solar panels and so require very little maintenance after the initial setup. They utilise a built-in light sensor to ensure that the lighting is not turned on during the daytime.
The SMART HUB-75 transformers are rated to IP23 and as such are designed to be installed under cover or indoors away from precipitation or snowfall. If the SMART HUB-75 must be mounted in an area where it is exposed to the elements, the HUB PROTECTOR 1 must be used to prevent damage. This transformer should be mounted at least 50cm from the ground.
Note: They are supplied with 2.3m of cable with a moulded UK plug, allowing it to be fit into a waterproof outdoor socket. Alternatively they can be hardwired to a switched spur (requires an electrician). If the wiring is done incorrectly then this will void the warranty.
