Garden Rain Irrigation Sprinklers (MPR1000) - 2.5m to 4.5m Radius
Exclusive to Landscapeplus, the Garden Rain Irrigation System is the perfect cost-effective option for full coverage watering of entire areas or garden beds.
Why Use The Garden Rain Irrigation System?- Ideal for irrigating and establishing new planting.
- The system acts as a great insurance policy for your planting, allowing you to effectively irrigate whole areas during warm weather or drought conditions.
- This irrigation system is perfect for working gardens where drip pipe may be unsuitable.
- The irrigation feed pipe and sprinklers are designed to be hidden around the perimeter of the garden or beds, preserving the beauty of the garden.
- Easy to install in newly landscaped gardens or retrofitted into existing gardens.
- Each Garden Rain irrigation sprinkler utilises the industry leading Hunter MP rotator sprinkler heads which provide exceptional area coverage, while mimicking rainfall with their consistent watering patterns.
- Their low flow rates provide excellent flexibility for zoning your irrigation, allowing more surface area to be irrigated from a single tap outlet.
How Does The Garden Rain Irrigation System Work?- Each sprinkler is fitted with a 19mm LDPE nut & tail inlet, allowing the whole system to be run on the same pipework, providing further simplicity.
- The adjustable elbows at each end of the riser enable a wide array of mounting options, either to a wooden post using the provided screws, saddle clamps and cable ties, or to our 1m metal rods (sold separately) for spike mounting using cable ties.
- The Garden Rain sprinklers are available with three different radius heads (MP1000, MP2000 and MP3000) to suit the size of the area to be irrigated. Refer to the MP Rotator table on this page to see the radius of each sprinkler head.
- There are a further three spray angle options of 90° to 210°, 210° to 270° and 360° to achieve full coverage.
- Each spray head can be adjusted to reduce the radius by up to 25%, while the 90°-210° and 210°-270° can have their spray angle adjusted to achieve the perfect results. Use the MP Rotator Adjustment Tools for making adjustments.
Please refer to our Garden Rain Irrigation Guide video for more information.
How Do You Specify The System?- It is vital to first test the pressure and flow from the outdoor tap. This can be done easily using our Landscapeplus Pressure Gauge Kits to test the bar pressure, along with the bucket test to test your flow rate per minute.
- Measure the shape, length(s) and width(s) to be irrigated.
- Using these key pieces of information, you can refer to the MP rotator table on this page to determine the sprinklers required for full coverage of the area.
- Finally, add up the flow rates of each sprinkler to determine how many irrigation zones are required to feed these sprinklers from the tap.
Our Top Tips:- For both single and two zone irrigation systems, always use a tap timer to allow the irrigation to be used overnight. This reduces evaporation and increases watering efficiency.
- Water infrequently, but thoroughly. Really soaking the soil once or twice a week encourages healthy root growth as the plants grow deeper roots to find water. Watering little and often encourages wide shallow roots, leaving plants at risk during dry spells.
- Use a rain sensor along with your tap timer to ensure that the irrigation is only used when required, saving water and preventing overwatering.
- Always use PTFE tape on the 1/2" thread to prevent leaks and allow fine tune adjustments of the sprinkler head's starting point. The starting point is indicated by the flat spot on one side of the MP Rotator, known as the left hand stop. Always ensure this is in the correct location.
