Hunter Wireless Valve Link Signal Repeaters
The Wireless Valve Link system is the newest technological innovation from industry leading Hunter Industries. Compatible with the ICC2 and HCC irrigation controllers, this system allows you to wirelessly control irrigation zones without the use of cable, massively saving on the cost of trenching and installation as well as allowing the system to be expanded in the future. Thanks to LoRa technology, the radio frequency can travel up to 650m (line-of-sight).
The Wireless Valve Link signal repeaters allow this maximum 650m range to be doubled to around 1300m (line-of-sight). They are solar powered and so require no cable or battery replacements. They can be either post or wall mounted, and thanks to the ball joint design the solar panel can be fine-tuned to face the prominent direction of sunlight. As they are solar powered, they should of course be mounted outdoors.
They are not only great for increasing the range of the radio signal, but also for bouncing the signal around obstacles such as forested areas or buildings that would otherwise interfere or block the radio signal. Only one signal repeater can be used per system, so it is important to consider the best placement for them to maximise range and efficiency.
Before installation, it is recommended that you note down or take a photo of the serial number on the base of the aerial as this is required for setting the signal repeater up on the app. Please refer to the video and PDFs on this page for information and installation tips.
