WiseBox Direct 4-channel Wireless WiFi Kits
These WiseBox 4-channel Wireless WiFi Kits are much like the ever popular WiseBox Kits, but with the addition of a simple plug-in WiFi chip. This simple addition transforms the system, enabling you or your client to control the lighting zones, set automatic on/off times, and create scenes to switch selected zones in a grouping. The WiseBox/chip does not require any internet connection and works totally wirelessly, only the smartphone requires a WiFi connection to enable control from 25-50m from the receiver (exact range depends on the type of phone, the thickness of walls, and where the WiseBox is positioned).
These kits are also supplied with a wireless wall switch and a key fob, on which the buttons can be paired easily with the chosen channel within seconds through the buttons on the circuit board located inside the WiseBox casing. If more than one keyfob or wall switch is required, additional units can be purchased separately and programmed alongside the provided devices. Once programmed the key fobs and wall switches will work up to an impressive range of 150m (line of sight).
By default, all channels within the WiseBox will be set to standard on/off function, meaning when the channel is controlled it will switch the channel between on and off. Any of the channels can be changed to a "push-to-make" circuit if required, which means that the channel is only turned on when any switch or button is held down, before turning off again once the button is no longer being pushed. This setting is great for garage doors and electronic gates.
Rated to IP54, the 4-channel wireless receivers are rated for outdoor use and are protected against rain and water jets. Once mounted to the wall, the inlet and outlet cable connections can be easily made using the provided cable glands and the screw terminals located within the box.
The Wise Box Four receiver has four fused 5 amp circuits with a maximum amperage of 20 amps across the whole box. The input and output voltage should always be 240v, meaning any low voltage lighting system should have the transformer or driver located after the outlet of the WiseBox.
